Phoenix, AZ – August 2012 – Recently, HDS was given the opportunity to work with Little Big League, in association with the Arizona Diamondbacks’ baseball organization, to give back to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Arizona by donating volunteer t-shirts.

The project, aptly named “D-Backs give Back”, allowed Diamondback players the opportunity to volunteer with young adults and their Little brothers or Little sisters in charitable events throughout the Valley. Some of these great opportunities to “give back”  was the chance to read to homeless children, assist in the Hearts and Hands program at St. Vincent de Paul and help pack Bags of Hope for hungry youth at Kitchen on the Street.

The program will be topped off in September with an amazing organization called Pedal Power. After working to assemble bicycles for youth who might not otherwise be able to afford them, the Diamondbacks hope to give a bike to each Little Brother or Little sister who took part in this program.
