Pittsburgh, PA – June 2013 – HDS is pleased to announce that their Founder & CEO, Howard Schwartz, has been named as a finalist for the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia region of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award program. Recognized as one of the most prestigious business award programs in the country, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award celebrates the country’s most innovative business leaders. This year, the award program received submissions from over 1,700 nominees from across the country. The award recognizes men and women who take the standard of excellence and achievement to new heights.
The Entrepreneur of the Year award program is now in its 27th year and the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia region has participated in the program since 1986; claiming two national winners in the past. Howard is one of twenty-seven finalists from this region. This regional award will be presented at an awards gala that will be held on June 21, 2013 at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh. Each regional award winner is eligible for consideration for the National Entrepreneur of the Year Award which recognizes its winner at an awards gala in November.
