HDS CEO Howard Schwartz and the HDS Phoenix staff recently attended the Phoenix Suns Charities Jump Ball Gala on Saturday March 1, 2014 at Talking Stick Resort. As a proud sponsor of the Phoenix Suns, HDS was honored to attend and have their customers from Universal Technical Institute, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union and Back to School Clothing Drive be their guest’s at this great fundraising event.

The theme for this year’s event was “Ignite the Future for Arizona Kids” which coincides with the team’s own theme for this season.  The Honorary Chairs for the event were Jeff Hornacek, who is in his first year as the Suns head coach, and his wife Stacy.

Bob Nanberg, HDS Senior Sales Partner, once again organized the auction.  The foundation raised an estimated $200,000 between silent and live auction items and a wine raffle.  Some of the highlights of the auction were a trip to Paris for two to attend the Justin Timberlake concert, a private hangar party for children with 40 guests at the Pinnacle Aviation Hangar in Scottsdale and a fly-away with the Phoenix Suns team to Los Angeles, among other great prizes!

Although the final numbers have not been calculated yet, it appears the entire event raised approximately $1.3 million.
